"Fantastic restaurant, quiet and well appointed space to eat, we had a lovely Filipino waitress, service staff was extremely friendly and informative and prompt with food, drinks and information. Starters were amazing, tasty and good portions, the meats were incredible, totally genuine A5 with incredible marbling with light indulgent and refreshing deserts to end. For other diners do be aware as some people have complained about quantity of the meats, the price reflects the value and quality of the goods. We did the €84 per person and were satisfied with the quantity provided and was the perfect amount to taste each cut and style - with the starters and deserts also we definitely didn’t leave hungry. Would return in a heartbeat, and highly recommend for someone’s first time for Wagu / Kobe or a fan of high quality meats"

"Yakiniku Shogun delivers an exceptional Japanese BBQ experience in Madrid with outstanding quality across every course. The restaurant excels from start to finish, beginning with a fantastic set of appetizers ranging from crispy tempura to flavorful yakisoba udon that perfectly set the stage for the meal ahead. The highlighted appetizer, wagyu tartare with egg topped with a deliciously sweet caramelized onion sauce, showcases the kitchen's ability to elevate premium ingredients with creative preparations. The combination of rich wagyu, creamy egg, and sweet onion creates a perfect harmony of flavors and textures. The excellent range of meats available for barbecuing demonstrates the restaurant's commitment to quality sourcing, with our favorite being the beef skirt cut - a choice that proved perfectly marbled and flavorful when grilled at the table. The interactive grilling experience enhances the dining pleasure while ensuring each piece is cooked exactly to preference. Beyond the grilled meats, the excellent duck udon soup and wagyu fried rice show the kitchen's versatility in executing both traditional and elevated Japanese dishes. The duck udon features rich, savory broth with tender duck, while the wagyu fried rice transforms a simple dish into something luxurious. The meal concludes magnificently with particularly amazing desserts - the Nashi pear offers a refreshing, delicate finish, while the Shogun cheesecake provides a rich, satisfying end to the feast. An extra special shoutout to the Filipino waitresses who were so attentive and enthusiastic - their exceptional service truly elevated our dining experience and we will definitely come back soon!"

"A very good place to enjoy kobe & wagyu bbq. We decided to just go with the menu because we didnt know what to choose and we were happy with the choice. Everything from the appetizer was delicious, our fav was the croquettes, its tasty! And the meat, well.. one of the best meat we’ve tried in our lives it was served non salted but they gave us salt & other sauces so we can have it to our taste. Dessert was both delicious! However, one of the lady who attended us wasn’t so friendly but it didn’t ruin the experience. Also another thing we notice was that we ordered a bottle of Premora 2016 (as stated on the bill) but what they gave us the bottle said 2021. Overall the experience was really good!"

"This was the second time we came back to this restaurant. Last time we ordered the grill wagyu beef and thought it was good but what we enjoyed more was the yakimeshi and croquettes. So this time we skipped the wagyu beef and only order yakimeshi and yakisoba, fried chicken wings and the croquettes. The chicken wings are similar with the Korean fried chicken. They’re very crispy and drizzled with sauces. The portions are on the smaller sides but 4 dishes were more than enough for the two of us."

"The wagyu meat is amazing, and the side dishes are also great. Irritated that the menu is not available in English, and there are no pictures to help you decide which cut of meat to order (when there is a large price difference involved) - not clear to me why the restaurant doesn’t make this easier for the customer… Be mindful when ordering a-la-carte that the staff won’t bring out the beef until you ask - we ate all the sides whilst waiting for it to come, not realising. Also be careful with the BBQ (which sits high on the table) - the metal tongs provided are too short so you can’t reach across the hot coals without burning your fingers! But overall it’s a premium experience with amazing food that makes up for these minor points."
